Montagnes Magazine

According to the interweb, this is what the French Montagnes Magazine said about the Hagan Boost 94: (excerpts, click the link below to read the entire review in French)

  • The Big Surprise of this Season
  • excellent stability even at high speeds
  • A model that is not unlike the behavior of the Salomon Explore 95 but with greater rigidity.
  • This ski becomes Hagan's favorite of this 2020 range
  • slips very clearly in the first place of these tests.
  • enormous carbon-filled shovel erases all the roughness of the terrain
  • unparalleled driving comfort in deep or trafficked snow
  • turns are easy to make
  • HAGAN Boost Series Skis

First Lines, Powder, and Steep Slopes: The new HAGAN BOOST skis are light enough for long tours, with 94mm and 99mm waist widths, but are by no means oversized. Tip rockers up to 410 mm provide these off-piste rockets plenty of float for high speed turns.

The Boost skis are built with 3D "diminishing rib" profiles — a raised central ridge that tapers out towards the ski’s edge for a reduction in swing weight. The rib is taller and narrower near the bindings, progressively widening while getting shallower near the tip and tail. The rib shape keeps the skis stiffer mid-foot while absorbing impact without chatter. Tip and tail rocker help float over soft snow and cut through chop, while camber underfoot and carbon stringers provide stability and stiffness, ensuring they rip the hardback. From flotation devices to powerful chargers, welcome to the most playful line of powder skis on the market.

The BOOST 94 is Hagan's second widest ski. This very sporty free tour ski unfolds its full potential at high speeds and delivers top-class performance. The tour rocker and wide shovel promise considerable lift in deep snow. It fits into the concept of an adventurous free tour ski – ready at any time to discover hidden powder spots. The Boost 94 is coupled with a lightweight paulownia core and a carbon backbone to keep it nimble while ensuring steadiness for burly descents. The BOOST 94 is light enough for long tours while its 94 mm waist and 127 mm shovel provides stability and security even in difficult snow conditions.

The BOOST 94 is also at home on firmer slopes. It is stable on edge and holds lines securely. This freerider is the tool for adventurers whose exploits guarantee they will experience a wide variety of conditions.

The BOOST series also includes the BOOST 99 and the BOOST JR.

    HAGAN Die Cut Base iconDIE-CUT-BASE
The graphite sintered bases with die cut inlays are extremely durable with stone-ground base structure ideally tuned for optimal descending and gliding.
HAGAN Multi radius sidecut iconMULTI RADIUS
The multiradius concept lets you adapt to snow conditions and speeds as desired, creating short and long turn radii on a totally individual basis. Increase forward pressure to shorten the turning radius, decrease forward pressure to lengthen the turning radius.
HAGAN Low profile 3-D construction iconLOW PROFILE 3D-SHAPE
The remarkably thin construction in conjunction with a micro-height sidewall greatly reduces weight. 3-Dimensional top surface shaping increases torsional rigidity and maximizes edge grip.
    Hagan Rocker iconROCKER
All Hagan ski models are equipped with tip and tail rocker. The rocker length varies amongst models between 250 and 390mm front and 90 to 150mm. Optimized for the ascent, the “tour” rocker height is between 3 and 4mm.
HAGAN Elliptical front ski iconELLIPTICAL FRONT SKI
Hagan designed an elliptical shape to keep the oversized shovel perfectly manageable in any snow condition and all types of terrain. The elliptical shape surfs untracked powder perfectly but also carves through breakable crust and difficult conditions with control and precision.
Hagan diamond edge cap iconDIAMOND EDGE CAP
The diamond shaped top cap ensures perfect power transmission and reduces swing weight.
