Grip6
Another of your belts has bitten the dust. Perhaps it has snapped from sudden force or pressure after breaking down with wear. Maybe it has lost its shape and has begun to warp over time. That large belt buckle design sure looked neat when you bought it, but now you've realized just how uncomfortable and bulky it feels as you move around. Not to mention the irritation and inconvenience various prongs, snaps, screws or clamps can bring. if your daily attire is often finished off by a belt, you've likely experienced more than one of these belt woes. So did the mind behind GRIP6 and hence this amazing, comfortable and fully-functional line of belts was born.
GRIP6 belts take the reigns and shine where other belts fall short. All GRIP6 belts feature simple designs and are created using quality materials and utilizing top-notch craftsmanship. Each belt is designed and manufactured in the United States. Featuring certified 6061 T6 aluminum buckles that avoid a bulky, beefy look and feel, these belts are built to last wear after wear and year after year. GRIP6 creates belts meant to withstand everyday living, whether this means you're heading into work or out for a full day of active adventures. The brand's own "Badgerbite" friction holds up to outward pressure of up to 250 pounds without failing, deforming or slipping.
The company's history is truly a study in perseverance and not giving up on personal values and moral responsibilities. BJ Minson, a busy father of five, grew frustrated over time with the waste he noticed when it came to his children's toys. Many of his children's playthings were built to be low quality, cheap and virtually disposable. This made him pay more attention to other products in his family's home and this held true for most. through his own research, he came to better understand the impact manufacturing has on a country's economic strengths, and it was clear to him the U.S. has been steadily losing its know-how and infrastructure for manufacturing due to increased overseas production.
Also an engineering student, Minson began to see a way for making a difference. he wanted to design a quality product completely manufactured in the USA. he came up with the idea for GRIP6 belts and shared his idea on Kickstarter. It took only 30 short days for him to rack up orders for his first 10,000 belts. Now needing to manufacture thousands of belts, he turned to domestic factories for help, all of whom directed him on how to work with Chinese factories because the alternative would just be too expensive. Unwilling to let go of his dreams of creating a completely American-made belt, he realized he would need to tackle this challenge on his own. The next six months found himself and his future co-owner working side by side in a garage for hours on end until they had constructed 10,000 handmade belts.
Feedback from happy customers followed, and the rest is history. Production may have amped up over the last five years and the company's facilities have grown, but the drive to manufacture quality, lasting belts completely in the U.S. remains.
