High-performance skis and snowboards designed by women, for women.
For a long time, the women’s ski industry was known for “pinking and shrinking it.” Essentially they’d take men’s ski gear, make it smaller and softer, and then make it pink (or some other pastel color). While this worked for beginner skiers, it wasn’t ideal for advanced and expert skiers. Thankfully, we’ve come a long way since then, with Coalition Snow pioneering the way.
From the very first time Coalition Snow popped into their heads, Jen Gurecki and Danielle Rees woke up every day with the goal to make Coalition Snow come to life. From scratch, they crafted a manufacturing company to produce skis for women, made by women - an industry first. Embracing the way women are different, Coalition Snow starts their design process around women’s’ strengths, rather than just modifying existing men’s gear.
The bee started buzzing with their successful Kickstarter, but it didn’t stop there. After years of success, Coalition Snow has won numerous awards for their gear and had athletes compete in the Olympics using their gear. Coalition Snow is constantly looking to improve and give their skiers and snowboarders exactly what they are asking for.
We at Gear.com pride ourselves on supporting companies, like Coalition Snow, who strive to put their values front and center. Instead of waiting for the industry to create what they needed, they stepped in and made it happen themselves. But, aside from all of that, they make some damn good skis.
